Portland Dog Wash is a self-serve dog washing facility that provides dog owners with the ability to wash and groom their own pets, in an environment that is low stress for both dogs and their people. The Portland Dog Wash provides all the necessary equipment and supplies to wash and groom your dog and is the low-cost alternative to professional grooming services. In addition to the benefits of cost-saving pet maintenance afforded by a self-serve wash, dog owners can avoid the difficult task of washing their pet at home, which often results in scratches to the family bathtub and usually includes back stress and sore knees (OUR TUBS ARE WAIST HIGH!). Portland Dog Wash feels that washing your dog on a regular basis is healthy for the dog and can be a fun family event.
Here's How It Works.......first come, first served:
All you need to do is bring your dog in on a leash, no appointment necessary. We will assist you with getting the dog into the grooming tub by either using a set of stairs or lifting the dog in for you, if necessary. Each dog wash comes with five different 2 in 1 Shampoos, Ear, Eye, and Dental Wipes, an assortment of brushes and combs, a towel and a super absorbent chamois, tub restraint, professional tub, air dryer, and aprons. Nail trimming is provided with a wash for an additional $5 dollars ($10 dollars without the wash) Although we are primarily a self-service facility, we will provide you with as much assistance as necessary during your visit.
We will also take special appointments for special needs dogs and will also wash your dog for you by appointment (at an additional charge) if you don't want to do it yourself.

IMPORTANT STORE POLICIES
SKUNK DOG POLICY:
DUE TO A RECENT INCIDENT REGARDING A SKUNK SPRAYED DOG WE CAN NO LONGER ALLOW SKUNK SPRAYED DOGS INTO THE STORE. YOU MUST FIRST WASH YOUR DOG THOROUGHLY AT LEAST ONCE AT HOME AND PASS OUR "SNIFF" TEST BEFORE WE WILL ALLOW YOU TO USE OUR FACILITY. THIS POLICY IS TO AVOID LANDLORD EVICTION AND TO PREVENT ADVERSE EFFECTS ON THE ADJOINING BUSINESSES.
LEASHED DOG POLICY:
Please make sure your dog is on a leash or in a carrier upon entering the store. DOG OWNER MUST BE IN CONTROL OF THEIR DOG(S) UPON ENTERING! PLEASE ASK FOR ASSISTANCE IF NECESSARY. We reserve the right to ban anyone not in compliance with this policy from using our facility.
LAST WASH POLICY:
LAST WASH IS 1/2 HOUR BEFORE WE CLOSE.
